Artur Komendziński - Deputy Plant Manager – Manufacturing Plant in Kobylniki

My adventure with ZT “Kruszwica” S.A. started when I was still at high school and later when I was a student working seasonally during rape purchasing. Mostly, I worked as a lab technician at the Quality Control Department due to my line of study.
I faced my first big challenge in 2002, when as a graduate of Gdańsk University of Technology, Chair of Chemistry and Fat Technology, I started at Kruszwica as an English translator for the project of redevelopment of the Oil Mill Department in Kobylniki. My tasks included not only proficient translation of documents but also working at the construction site. Thanks to my participation in the project, I got to know the ins and outs of the department.

I had other responsibilities when I was given the position of Specialist for Reports at the Department for Planning Production and Reports. I prepared and supervised all reports related to the company's production, including reports sent to the head office of Bunge Europe in Geneva. It required advanced computer skills, in particular in Excel, and knowledge about all Production Departments.

The biggest challenge and surprise so far was my promotion to the position of deputy manager of the Oil Mill, at the end of 2004. One day I was a guy spending most of his time at the computer, and the next day I was a person responsible for the manufacturing process at the Oil Mill. At that time, I managed big projects related to the redevelopment of the department aimed at modernising the processes and increasing productivity.
In November 2005 I went to…Mannheim. I was proposed to participate in a project for the redevelopment of the Extract Pressing Plant at the local Bunge Group plant. I joined an international team, working with German, Italian, Brazilian, French and Hungarian people. It was a very interesting episode in my life; we exchanged experiences and got to know the specificity of work in other countries. After the project’s completion it was I was proposed to stay in Mannheim, but as a Project Manager. At that time I successfully managed projects regarding systems for unloading soya meal from ships or underground hexane tanks in Extraction, or the installation of a new preliminary petrol separator from meal also in Extraction. I was responsible for all aspects of the projects, financial included, and I closely cooperated with my German colleagues.

After completion of the project in the summer of 2007 I returned to Kruszwica. Shortly after, I was offered a new position as manager of the Oil Bottling Plant in Kruszwica. This is another interesting challenge due to a completely different production profile and other problems waiting to be solved. However, I am happy about these changes because nothing helps you develop better than new challenges and working with great people, like the ZT “Kruszwica” staff.

In 2009 Artur was promotet to deposition of Deputy Plant Manager in Kobylniki.
