ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

For the sake of environmental care, the management of ZT “Kruszwica” S.A. undertakes to operate in line with the following principles:

1. Reduction of any negative impact on the environment due to the plant’s operation;
2. Seeking new ways to prevent environmental pollution (where it is technically and economically justified);
3. Establishment of a management system to guarantee constant improvement of the environment, manufacturing processes, plant equipment, materials used, servicing operations, products and ecological awareness of the staff.

The management undertakes to:

1. comply with any legal regulations regarding environment, and when such regulations are not precise enough, the plant will operate according to the protective rules and practices established by Bunge;
2. develop and apply environmental management principles as a common practice;
3. reduce any impact on the environment by constant implementation of improvements in equipment and technology as well as applying state-of-the-art technologies in improvement programmes, in particular as regards better quality of sewage and reduced noise emission;
4. support training and promotional activities in environmental protection plus increasing the ecological awareness of all employees;
5. improve productivity in all areas of production in order to prevent environmental pollution and to reduce consumption of raw materials and energy.
