Responsibility for the business environment is part of the Bunge Group’s mission. As part of our operation, we build special bonds with communities in all the locations we operate in, i.e. Kruszwica, Brzeg, Gdańsk and Warsaw. We support local initiatives and undertakings, especially those related to education and sports.

Young and talented sportsmen from Brzeg
In December 2008 we concluded a sponsorship agreement with the Piast sports association in Brzeg. Thanks to the financial support provided, the association will be able to organise numerous local sports events, included with the participation of the employees of the Manufacturing Plant in Brzeg and their children. We should also add that the young sportsmen we support include the Piasta women's second league football team. As part of the agreement, our employees can use the sports facilities of the association free of charge.

"Chcemy pomóc" (We want to help) and … dreams come true
Dreams come true and young football players from the Gopło football team in Kruszwica know that. Thanks to our financial support, they have been able to participate in the Remes Cup football championships in Opalenica. The Remes Cup is one of the largest football championships in Central Eastern Europe. This year there were more than 4500 participants aged 10-18. “It was a great experience to meet Leo Beenhakker, the coach of the Polish national team, and Lukas Podolski from Bayern Monachium and the German national team,” said the young footballers. We could also observe the training of the LECH Poznań team and meet the footballers, e.g. Rafał Murawski, Bartosz Bosacki, Piotr Reis, Colombian central back Manuel Santos Arboleda and Peruvian forward Herman Rengifo.

The campaign "Chcemy pomóc" was organised by our employees, who proposed interesting initiatives in the local environment worth supporting. We also provided financial support to a young artist, a student at the lower secondary school in Przywidz and the Gmina Culture Centre, where she has been taking piano lessons for some time. Thanks to our campaign she could buy the piano she dreamed of.
